How to cut video in Lightworks using C shortcut
The first solution to cut video in Lightworks is to press ‘C’ key on your keyboard which is very easy and convenient to operate when it comes to cutting a video clip. Follow the steps below to cut in Lightworks
- Download and run Lightworks on your PC or Mac
- Go to Libraries>Local files>places to import a video file
- Drag the video file to the Lightworks timeline
- Move the timeline red playhead to the place where you want to cut video and then Press “C” key on your keyboard to split the videos
- Select the video you want to delete and right-click the mouse to select ‘Delete”
How to cut in Lightworks using Mark in and Mark out
The second way you can use to cut video in Lightworks is to add Mark in and Mark out for the videos. It is very useful if you want to cut a video clip in between.
- Import the video file to the timeline
- Move the timeline red cursor to the beginning part of the video you want to delete and right-click the mouse and then select Tracks>Mark In
- Move the red playhead to the end of the video clip you want to delete and right-click the mouse>Select Tracks and “Mark out” respectively
- Next, find the button called Delete the marked section (and close the gap) below the preview window to delete the marked section. You can also just press “X” key on your keyboard to delete the marked section
